COMMENTS: ICONIC AMERICAN BOOTLEG FROM 'TMOQ' (DUB TAYLOR AND KEN DOUGLAS) RELEASED IN SPRING 1972. RE-PRESSED MANY TIMES IN SEVERAL VARIATIONS AS DETAILED BELOW. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT WHEN THIS ALBUM WAS FIRST RELEASED, TMOQ WERE ALREADY USING THE LARGE 1 & 2 LABELS (WITHOUT PRINTED RIM), LARGE 1 & 2 LABELS (WITH PRINTED RIM) AND ALSO THE SIDEWAYS PIG 'MADE IN HOLLAND' LABEL. THE ORDER OF PRESSING OF THE FIRST THREE ARE KNOWN HOWEVER DUE TO THE VINYL COLOURS USED AT SPECIFIC TIMES BY TMOQ. KEN DOUGLAS HAS CONFIRMED TO FLOYDBOOTS THAT 'OMAYYAD' WAS MADE BY DUB TAYLOR ALONE, SHORTLY AFTER THEY SPLIT, ALTHOUGH THEY BOTH MADE THEIR OWN VERSIONS OF IT. ALL THE PRESSINGS HERE ARE IN ORDER OF DATE, NOT MATRIX NUMBER.

FIRST PRESSING: (SHOWN ABOVE) MATRIX NUMBER PF515 A/B. THIS PRESSING HAD A THICK CARD COLOURED OR WHITE SLEEVE WITH RUBBER STAMP AND ROUND COLOURED 'FARM PIG' STICKER PLUS A PAPER INSERT WITH THE FARM PIG LOGO AT THE TOP AND A 'LECOR PRODUCTIONS 1972' CREDIT AT THE BOTTOM. THE LABELS HAD A LARGE 1 & 2. TMOQ USED THESE LABELS UNTIL AUTUMN 1972.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: ORANGE/MAGENTA & GREEN.

RARITY RATING:

SECOND PRESSING: MATRIX NUMBER PF515 A/B. SAME AS FIRST PRESSING BUT WITH A DOUBLE PRINTED RIM AROUND THE EDGE OF THE LABELS. TMOQ (DUB TAYLOR) USED THESE LABELS UNTIL AUTUMN 1972, HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THAT KEN DOUGLAS CONTINUED TO USE THEM INTO 1973.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: BLUE, GREEN, RED & LIME GREEN.

RARITY RATING:

THIRD PRESSING: MATRIX NUMBER PF515 A/B. SAME AS SECOND PRESSING BUT WITH A 'FARM PIG' LOGO AND 'MADE IN HOLLAND' PRINTED ON THE LABELS. AGAIN, THESE LABELS WERE USED UNTIL AUTUMN 1972 WHEN ALL THREE PREVIOUSLY USED LABELS WERE REPLACED BY THE 'FOURTH PRESSING' FARM PIG LABEL. TMOQ ALSO STOPPED USING THE ROUND COLOURED STICKERS IN AUTUMN 1972.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: BLUE & RED.

RARITY RATING:

FOURTH PRESSING: MATRIX NUMBER 1830 A/B. FIRST APPEARANCE OF THE '1830' MATRIX NUMBER, THE WORK OF KEN DOUGLAS ON HIS OWN. MOST OF THESE CAME IN A PLAIN COVER WITH INSERT, HOWEVER A FEW HAD STAMPED AND STICKERED COVERS. PRESSED ON BLUE VINYL WITH THE SIDEWAYS FARM PIG LOGO. PRODUCED LATE '72 TO EARLY '73.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: BLUE

KEN DOUGLAS TO FLOYDBOOTS: "It’s very simple, any PF515 matrix is Dub’s and any 1830 is mine."

RARITY RATING:

FIFTH PRESSING: MATRIX NUMBER PF515 A/B. SAME AS THIRD PRESSING BUT WITH GOLD OR SILVER, ROUND OR SQUARE, STICKERS. 'TMQ 71040' WAS ADDED ON SOME INSERTS BELOW THE WORD 'STEREO'. WHITE SIDEWAYS PIG LABELS. THESE PRESSINGS OCCASIONALLY APPEAR WITH SPOTTED VINYL PATTERNS. PRODUCED BETWEEN NOVEMBER 1972 AND OCTOBER 1974.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: RED, BLUE, PURPLE, GREEN & ORANGE.

RARITY RATING:

DISC LABELS (WHITE OR ORANGE) HAVE THE SMOKING PIG PIG LOGO ON THE BLACK AND BLUE VINYL ISSUES. THERE IS ALSO A VERY RARE YELLOW VINYL VERSION (2 KNOWN COPIES) WITH 1/2 RIMMED LABELS ON YELLOW VINYL, THESE MAY HAVE BEEN PRESSED AT THE TIME OF THE FOURTH PRESSING (BECAUSE OF THE USE OF OLD LABELS) AND SOLD NEW WITH 'MAMMARY' INSERTS A LITTLE LATER. PRODUCED BETWEEN LATE 1972 AND MID 1973.

KNOWN VINYL COLOURS PRESSED: BLUE, YELLOW AND BLACK.

RARITY RATING:
